BOTOX Cosmetic injections relax the muscles that create wrinkles, thereby reducing the
appearance of frown lines, laugh lines and crow's feet. By doing so, BOTOX Cosmetic
effectively eliminates the facial wrinkles that occur with overuse of frown
muscles. A small amount is injected  into the muscles that are responsible
for creating the wrinkles. BOTOX Cosmetic inactivates these muscles that produce the
wrinkles, thereby causing lines to disappear or diminish dramatically.

Some of the common areas treated with BOTOX Cosmetic include crow's feet around the
eyes, frown lines and forehead wrinkles.

A BOTOX Cosmetic treatment is quick and results usually last 3-6 months. After that, you
may return for a follow-up injection. Some doctors report that after several
treatments, the effect of BOTOX Cosmetic appears to last longer with each injection.

The most common complication is a slight, temporary drooping of the eyelid,
although this occurs in less than five percent of patients. BOTOX  Cosmetic is used in
extremely small amounts and does not spread throughout the body so that
there is NO danger of developing botulism. Patients are able to return to full
activity immediately.

BOTOX Cosmetic can be used by almost anyone: patients who are pregnant or breast
feeding are not appropriate candidates.
