Facial
Liposculpture Rejuvenation is an exciting new technique for creating a
younger and more healthier face. It is a procedure to replace the wasting
away and lost of tissue a face develops due to the aging process.
Comparison of
the face to the left and the face to the right one can see some very
obvious differences. First, the hollow look of the lower eyelids
is quite different. As you can see from the photo, the younger woman's
cheek seems to extend all the way up to her eye lashes with no
depression. She also has basically no nasolabial fold ( the groove
between the lateral side of your nose and corner of the mouth).
The nasolabial grooves, in the left photo on the other hand, are
quite deep. Her chin and jawline are nice and full whereas on the left
they have wasted with age. Her eyebrows are high and in the left photo
they are drooping. Her neck is tight and to the left is loose. She has
no jowls. Her forehead is full and the older face is thin. Her lips are
full and the older lips are smaller. Her cheeks are nice and prominent
and the older cheeks are wasted. Her skin is smooth and healthy looking
whereas the skin is weathered in the older lady. You do not need to know either
of the two people to know the lady on the left is older than the lady on
the right, because you can see the effects
of aging on the two faces.
AUGMENTATION
& REJUVENATION
As we age, our faces become smaller. The skin
and bone remains the same size, but the cheeks, chin, jaw, forehead, etc.
decrease in size. The fat, muscle and connective tissues atrophy or waste
away, leaving behind unsupported skin. As the support underlying the skin
disappears, the skin falls into wrinkles and folds. As the cheek becomes
smaller, bags under the eyes become more prominent. As the jawline and
chin loose their prominence, jowls appear. As the youthful fullness of the
brow and upper eyelid dissipates, an empty sack of skin is left behind.
Since shrinkage of the subcutaneous tissues is
the primary manifestation of aging, replacement of the atrophied tissues
by restoring structure is an obvious method of rejuvenation. Diffusely
augmenting the structure of the forehead, cheeks, mouth, chin and jawline
restores the fullness of youth.
Traditional plastic surgery has identified the
signs of aging as wrinkles, bags, jowls and folds. Most cosmetic surgeries
have tried to remove these signs of aging. Unfortunately, they do not take
into account how people looked when they were younger. Therefore, the end
result of a facelift or eye tuck is that although the person may be
tighter, they do not look like they did when they were young. With few
exceptions, traditional plastic surgery revolves around a single solution
to the challenges of augmentation and rejuvenation - cutting away fat,
skin or muscle. Instead of tightening and shortening by excision of
unsupported skin, liposculpture rejuvenation fills the face and body with
a living filler, correcting asymmetry and restoring the fullness of youth,
naturally and subtly. Removing wrinkles does not necessarily create youth. Replacing fullness to a face restores youth. Sometimes the best
answer to restore the youth of the face and neck is a combination of
traditional cosmetic surgery with liposculpture rejuvenation.
Even normal facial structures can
be aided by liposculpture rejuvenation. A stronger jawline creates a
healthier, more powerful face. Eliminating the tear trough deformity and
hollowness of lower eyelids eliminate the tired, sad appearance. Softening
the frown lines between the eyebrows can make a person look less anxious
or angry. Filling irregularities can strengthen and straighten a nose.
Voluptuous lips give a healthier, sexier appearance. Enhancement with
liposculpturing of specific facial elements can refine overall facial
harmony and proportion and restore youth.
